Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and songwriter. She was raised by her mother in the USA. She was subjected to racial remarks and felt unloved. It was during her ninth grade that she gained confidence after receiving a rousing ovation in an audition. This not only increased her self-confidence but also changed her goals for the future. When she was 22, she received her degree from at the Julliard School of New York. In the year 23 she started her professional career, making her debut at the Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. The most notable success of her career came in the role of The Lady of The Lake in Spamalot's first Broadway production. She did not only receive the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by the critics. The recognition grew even more by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. As a well-known singer, she also has released an album and a musical. She's also an activist who works hard in the fight for LGBT rights.
