Zoe-perry

Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on Roseanne, an ABC show Roseanne. However, her parents did not permit her to perform until she reached the age of adulthood, for fear of the effects stress would have on their daughter. Perry was shy in high-school and was not a performer. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved to the university from Boston University. After graduating Perry moved into New York to search for television work landing small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led her back to California which is where she discovered theatre jobs. She and her mother starred on Broadway together in The Other Place, in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was performed at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017, she played a supporting role in the ABC political drama Scandal that starred her father. That same year she appeared as a younger model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother as a young version. Despite her family link to the character, she was offered the role through an audition.
