Pickler's childhood was a rocky one. At the age of two, her mother ran away to protect her from an abusive family. Then, in 1995, she re-entered to Pickler's world and gained custody. The situation did not work out as expected. After Pickler reached the age of 12, the court returned her to her grandmothers, who brought her up to adulthood. Pickler needed to look after of her kids without parents. Pickler admitted that she no longer had time to study and started learning how to be a homemaker in her early years.
